Artist: Spiros Zachos / Flower Study #02 - May 2005 Note from the Artist: The transition from analog to digital which technology brings to our every day lives, brings forth change that excites us, and concerns us, as it involves our senses. The use of digital photography, which is missing analogous film grain, shows the bold, raw colors of flowers without distortion. I do not wish to conclude the accuracy in these photographs is better or worse than traditional photographic film images, which add character through its analogous grain texture. It is my intent to bring the digital characteristics to the viewer's consciousness and allow for individual decisions towards this new medium.
