Welcome to the homepage for Dr. Grow's CHEMISTRY 2210 at Pensacola Junior College.   On this page, you will be able to find pertinent course materials such as syllabi, handouts, problem sets, and previously-given exams.

This course consists of the study of carbon compounds with emphasis placed on reaction mechanisms, functional group behavior, synthesis, and structure determination.  Mastery of the basic concepts learned in Chemistry I and II is essential for successful completion of this course.  Meets A.A. general education category VII.

Most of the files are in two formats:  MS Word and Adobe Acrobat Reader (pdf).  If you are using Internet Explorer, the Word documents should load automatically in the browser.  If you are using Netscape, you might be asked whether to open the document or save it to disk when clicking on Word format selection.
In order to read the files in pdf format, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed on your computer.  It is freeware and may be downloaded at the Adobe website by clicking on the link above.

Problem Sets (If you find any errors , please notify me at tgrow@pjc.edu)

When deciding which problem set to use you should pay attention to the subject matter in the title and NOT the problem set number. Problem sets may contain a few problems not covered in class. Try looking them up in a book or on the web.

Exams (If you find any errors , please notify me at tgrow@pjc.edu)

Sample exams are from past semesters and are here to give you an idea of the type of exam to expect. They may not cover the same subject material as your next exam, so don't freak out if you see questions about things you have never heard of before. I will be updating the sample exams as we go along in the course.
