consists of a modern survey of the basic principles of chemistry with an emphasis on
the forces in solids and liquids, solutions, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium,
acids and bases, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry. Mastery of
basic algebra skills with an understanding of logarithms is essential for successful
completion of this course. As the prerequisite for this course is General Chemistry I, a
knowledge of the basic concepts covered in Chemistry I is essential before beginning this
difficult course.
