eLearning’s Learning Object Repository (LOR) allows instructors to use course content in many courses without duplicating the files on the eLearning server. By storing the files in an LOR and linking to them, (instead of copying them for each use) content can easily be reused and shared.
In this workshop you will learn how eLearning’s repository works, what types of content can and should be placed there as well as the types of content that should not be placed there, how to organize both your LOR and your course for best use of repository content, how to place LOR content in your course, and how to grant students access to the content. Would you like to create online tests and quizzes for your students that are automatically scored? Do you have test and quiz files you've already created in Microsoft Word or other word processing program? Would you like to add sound and/or graphic elements to your online tests?
Respondus is a software application that allows you to create tests from scratch or any word processing program to be placed in eLearning, PJC's online course management system. These online tests can be automatically scored and can contain image and audio files as well. Best of all, PJC has a site license! This means you can use Respondus from work or from home!
Prerequisite: Currently teaching in eLearning or completion of the eLearning (ANGEL) Basics workshop. Presenter: Holly Vaughn, Instructional Technologist

This eLearning training is designed for instructors who want to teach online courses, hybrid courses, or post resources in a companion website. It consists of instructional modules and corresponding practice activities. Hands-on practice activities will be completed in individual Practice Courses. Instructors may complete the 2 hour, self-paced training course at their own convenience. However, this training must be completed before instructors can teach online or post resources in a companion site. Facilitator: Mary Louise Winter, Instructional Technologists. After registering, participants should contact Mary Louise Winter in Distributed Learning at mlwinter@pjc.edu so that she can create an ANGEL account and Practice Course for them.
