Resources

Here are some web sites and other resources you might find helpful in your studies. Let me know if you find a useful link you'd like to see added.

  1. Microsoft Certification: THE place to go to if you want to know about certification requirements
  2. Cramsession: A good site for finding out exactly what you need to know for each test.
  3. 2000exams.com: A very good site that has Microsoft and Cisco practice exams.
  4. www.mcmcse.com: Run by the University of Phoenix, this site has Comptia (Network+, A+, and I+) and Microsoft practice exams.
  5. C++ Language Tutorial: Exactly what it sounds like. Looks pretty good.
  6. Obfuscated C Code:If you want to see just how hard to read C can get, check out this site. All the programs can be dowloaded, compiled, and run.
  7. Learning Resource Center: PJC's has an online link to a huge number of trade magazine and journal articles. Definitely worth looking at. Some areas require a Borrower ID (free to PJC students).
  8. Goodwarriors: A great movie that shows the principles of how data is sent and received on the Internet (right-click and choose Save Target As...).
  9. SQL Tutorial: Practice your SQL skills, learn more about the commands, and take tests.
  10. William Kelly's Site: Great links to many networking courses, presentations, and software.
