Welcome to the CHEMISTRY LABORATORY web page at Pensacola Junior College.   On this page, you will be able to find information regarding the safety procedures and safety test required of all PJC chemistry laboratory students.

This information, which applies to all chemistry laboratory courses at PJC, consists of a PowerPoint presentation of the Safety Rules and individual floorplans for the various chemistry laboratory rooms. The instructions for viewing the Safety Rules presentation are given below.  

The floorplan files are in two formats:  MS Word and Adobe Acrobat Reader (pdf).  If you are using Internet Explorer, the Word documents should load automatically in the browser.  If you are using Netscape, you might be asked whether to open the document or save it to disk when clicking on Word format selection.
Get Acrobat Reader In order to read the files in pdf format, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed on your computer.  It is freeware and may be downloaded at the Adobe website by clicking on the button at the left.

Safety Rules

    To use the Powerpoint Presentation you first should left-click on the Powerpoint Presentation reference. After the file loads and you see the opening screen, you simply left-click the mouse each time you wish to move on to the next item or slide. If you wish to go back to a previous point, right-click the mouse button and a dialog box will appear which gives you the option to "reverse". When you have finished viewing the presentation, click the "Back" button on the browser and you should return to this page.
