EGS 2311 (Engineering Statics) Web Page

TERM: Spring 2008

          This course in Engineering Mechanics (Statics) covers topics in equilibrium
          of particles and structures, analysis of trusses and beams, distributed loads,
          hydrostatic forces, moments of inertia of areas, centroids of rigid bodies, 
          friction forces and virtual work. Vector calculus methods are used throughout.
          It is a required course in all engineering disciplines (elective at PJC).
          The syllabus provides specific information about performance objectives, 
          grading policy, homework problem assignments, examination dates and
