This course in Engineering Mechanics (Statics) covers topics in equilibrium
of particles and structures, analysis of trusses
and beams, distributed loads,
hydrostatic forces, moments of
inertia of areas, centroids of rigid bodies,
friction forces and
virtual work. Vector calculus methods are used throughout.
It is a
required course in all engineering disciplines (elective at PJC).
