Online Tutorials

ITECH has developed several online tutorials which provide opportunity to develop and refine technology skills at your own pace.

Faculty eRosters
This tutorial provides an overview of how to use the features of faculty eRosters.

SSH Secure Shell File Transfer
You've created those pages, now how do you get them online? This tutorial will demonstrate the steps needed to transfer your files to the ITECH server.

Designing Accessible Webpages
Designing accessible web pages is a must if you are putting course content online. This tutorial provides ten accessibility guidelines to help.

ANGEL 101 Online

This 2 hour, self-paced course is designed for instructors who want to teach online or hybrid courses or for instructors who want to have a companion website.  It covers basic ANGEL tools such as creating content, uploading, files, and creating a course home page.  It will be supplemented by ANGEL 102 Online, available in fall 2008, which will cover more advanced features such as the gradebook and actions/agents.  This course has a 2 part registration process:  (1) Register on the SPD website for 2 hours credit at http://itech.pjc.edu/spd/date.asp and (2) Contact Mary Louise Winter in Instructional Technology at mlwinter@pjc.edu for ANGEL access.

ElementK

ElementK is a subscription service for which PJC has a limited number of licenses.  It includes a vast collection of online, step-by-step software tutorials in simulated environments.  This means you do not need to own software to learn how to use it. For more information, contact Lori Hahn at 484-1754.
