JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Tutor, Learning Enrichment Center

Report To: Supervisor, LEC

Basic Function: To Tutor PJC Students

Classification: Budget Student Assistant or Employee's Assistant Temporary Employee

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Tutor students in the Learning Enrichment Center.

2. Attend tutor meetings and tutor training sessions.

3. Make contact with instructors in Developmental Studies Department to obtain general information on subject matter.

4. Visit Developmental Studies classes to give presentations on the LEC.

5. Greet students and explain the lab procedures to them.

6. Instruct students regarding the use of computers and VCR tapes/players.

7. Ensure that students sign in and out.

8. Keep the lab clean.

9. Sign in and out (record time).

10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
